This website and project is literally a lifetime in the making.  I started out in the US Army.  Coming from a poor, inter-city background, I needed a way out.  The Army offered me a chance to do something different, to make something of myself.  I learned discipline, the value of hard work and how to be a part of a winning team.  I then took those values into the business world.  Using the GI Bill I went to college and got an undergraduate degree in Business/Finance.  I re-joined the Army as an officer, wanting to inspire and lead younger troops.  But this was part-time.  For my full time work I began working for a Fortune 500 company.  I eventually left the 9 to 5 world, taking a tip from a friend about a job to where I could get out of the “rat race”.  The amount of sales I made was how much money I took in.  The hours weren't bad, I could do my part-time Army work, so I started as a finance manager for a dealership.  
      This began my work in the auto finance world.  I have done well, real well.  I have been promoted several times to become one of the top finance guys in a large metropolitan area.  I taught many other finance directors how to do their jobs.  And basically our jobs were to do everything legally possible to take as much money as we could from every customer that came through our door. 
     But I learned something else in my years as an officer in the military.  I learned about ethics, morals, and values.  I would be the first to admit that after years of underhanded, "shady" and questionable dealing with customers I’m tired of it.  I desire to give back to folks like you.  This project, this e-guide, is in some sense my life's crowning achievement, not because I am sharing all that 14 years as a "big-time" finance director has taught me, but because I want to give back to you . . . to the customers that were taken advantage of for so many years. 
      Yes, I’m making some money on the e-guide, but more than that I am helping people save money.  Giving the regular folks the knowledge they need to make well informed decisions when financing their vehicles.
